Thanks jack,

Got the aluminium for my inner barrel and its perfection lol, the inner diameter is actually centred with equal thickness all the way round so start working on that soon.
Got a slight set back as my small milling vice broke on me today, so gotta source another one currently with empty pockets though :(

Ok so im considering using co2 now over my original idea of compressed air but after a better knowledge answer so what i have thought is,

Co2,
Smaller more compact, more shots available, cheap.

Cons,
Unreliable pressure, temperature affected, freezing

Air,
refillable at home, reliable,

Cons,
expensive out lay, bottles need servicing, large bottles and regs, and to pump them with a stirrup hard work lol

These are just a few things off the top of my head im mainly concerned about the bulky size of the air tank and if i switch to co2 the inconstancy of the shot as i want to be as accurate as possible but as light and stealthy as possible.

If you have a SCUBA bottle with filling equipment you're pretty much done, for a CO2-setup you need to buy new gas every once in a while.

Also, plain air gives better performance because of the slightly lighter weight. It also is less temperature sensitive.

Think I will stick to air as I have the tank and reg maybe experiment later on. Just like the fact that co2 is a much more compact system

No it isn't. A 88g co2 bottle plus the regulator setup is no smaller than a 0.2l paintball tank plus regulator. You don't need a palmer stabilizer for the HPA setup, any inline regulator (these ones that are normally sold with the bottle) can be adjusted for lower output for airsoft uses, I have turned my 3000psi to 450psi reg down to 135psi output, never failed so far. Or you can use one of these for cooler look.

(Online whistle) Wow, that is seriously impressive work, mate!
Will you actually be using it to play airsoft? That may sound like an inane question, but some of the folks on here build guns around airsoft BB's but don't actually play airsoft.

Cheers mako,

At first I was going to use it as a general hitting cans in the back garden,
But I have started to get back in to Airsoft so I think it will be used for Airsoft.
I'm hoping to be able to out range most over snipers on the field and I'm playing about with some hop up and barrel configurations see how we go my take awhile tho.
