Well here it is starting to look more and more like a gun now. I decided to make it a pistol. I want to give it to my little Nephews. I want to add a scope and such. Anyone figure out what the air tank is made off LOL.

isn't the sprinkler valve a bit big for a pellet gun, i would use a qev and blowgun trigger, this would also give the gun better lines.

If I knew what a Qev was and how to build one I wouldn't use a sprinkler valve. I had nothing but trouble with them.They want seal and they let air out the barrel.

a qev is like a diaphragm or piston/diaphragm valve the one i bought is the piston kind. qevs also increase the power.

and i don't know where you can buy them because i live in the uk but i think mcmasters.com or something has them.

well they are also called quick exaust valves you will know one when you see one.Usually looks like a beefed up sprinkler valve/gas regulator thing.With three ports on it.

this is the same kind as my quick exhaust valve, the pilot goes on the p-side (the right in the pic) the chamber goes on the bittom in the pic and the barrel goes on the left.

to pilot one you need these things (in order from the valve most should be brass) 1/2 to 1/4 reducer, 1/4 equal tee, a non-return or check valve, and a threaded shrader with the correct reducer, then the pilot is a blowgun which goes on the base of the tee.

Could someone draw a diagram how the Qev is set inline to the discharge barrel. What goes first then next and so forth until the exit.Thanks Chuck

you could also have the chamber facing backwards to act a a stock.

also i am inthe middle of planning my entry but i am wondering if a blow gun has a good enough flow to act as the main valve on a bb gun?
