How is this rediculous? He if he had a real assualt rifle and he's only 14 and obviously his parents didn't know about it then they should have taken him away. You can't tell me it's normal or even ok to have a real gun, that many airsoft guns, videos of the columbine, and a violence filled notebook with his plans. It's not like he's a normal kid that is actually being serious about planning a school attack.

Well, I only read the first and last posts (can't read to long because of eye problem) and let me give my opinion
first, the problem wasn't the Airsoft guns... Ok the midia exagerated and the police too, but the intent to do bad... If he was trying to recruit another boy to do an assault at a school, and with all the latest atacks at US schools by students, then they were right on arresting him... If he had an assault rifle with no ammo and a 9mm that would be enouf, even he just used the 9mm and it was manual reloaded he could kill one student, and thats one death to much, plus if he made a few bombs (and that's not hard to make) he could even do a bomb atack... and that's lot worst.
So the problem wasn't the weapons he had, but what he was thinking on doing...
BTW you don't need weapons to do such atack, a backpack filled with home made explosives can kill an entire room at a school, and who would suspect a 14 years old kid till it was to late?

About Airsoft guns, someone said that two kids were arrested for playing with two Ak47... well, Airsoft guns in my Country (Portugal) aren't allowed to people with less then 18 years old and you can't use them or cary them in plain sight, to not alarm the population, and I believe that the same laws aply in the US too (I think we copied some of our laws about airsoft from the states). So yes, the kids were braking the law, and they should never had played with airsoft guns in the street. Ther's a reason for airsoft players to wear protective glasses, and they could had hurt someone (ok, rare to happen, but probably).
Okok, that may be nuts, but I'm an airsoft player and Ive already saw bad things happening because of careless players...

PS: Sory for my lawsy english :D :D :D :D
