It looks to me like it is just a basic inline vortex setup.

What do I use to connect the barrel to the end cap though?

Your imagination

You just get a compression fitting the diameter of the barrel, chuck it on and then drill a hole in the end cap and thread the other end of the compression fitting in. Or you could solder a fitting on, or epoxy a fitting on.

Spudbud, that is why mankind created drills and epoxy.Sometimes you just have to make your own fitting.

And as far as i can tell, where you connect your blow gun to should be the air input. So turn it 180* around, and run the air thru the gun to a fitting so you have a trigger.

Did I draw the blowgun upside down?

I know that teenage imagination can get pretty sticky at times, but I wouldn't trust it for a barrel/chamber joint :D

i can see it now an it looks like it will work, maybe you could try something new and make a really small vortex block and bb chamber for better air effeciency or something.
