yes i have but for one problem, nerf is seriously stupid. you have to do lots of work removing air restrictors etc just for the satisfaction of shooting a harmless peice orange foam a whole extra 2 mtres wow !! and besides im 16 and nerf is just a lil embarrasing Wink

Hence again I use think like that too, but think of it this way... You're not going to be allowed to bring a bb machine gun to a public park to play with your friends....

Modifying your Nerf Dart Blaster through AR removal isn't obviously enough, there are other modifications which include O-Ring replacement, Spring Replacement, Barrel Replacement, and much much more. Then your 'harmless piece of orange foam' will fly a WHOLE 5-10metres (depending on how you mod it)... and these 'harmless pieces of orange foam' can be made to hurt, I can assure you . I.e. making the tip of your gun more harder with hot glue, or if you want to them to 'really' hurt a metal washer.

If you think about it, modifying a nerf gun compared to building a BBMG from scratch will probably take the same amount of effort but will be cheaper too. You can make your own darts and you can find and reuse them way easier than BBs.

Yes it's a mod for a Nerf Gun, but guess what? It's also applicable for a portable air source. I'd suggest you making a homemade blow gun valve though... it's cheaper.

i agree to disagree nerf is silly because no-one does it that i know of. all my friends would do airsoft if they could and bbmgs are very cool plus relatively easy to make.

well i live in tasmania. my mum has a large block of land in the middle of no-where. do you smell airtsoft club? Yes you do if my lazy friends can make themselves any type of working bb gun. win

anyway back on topic. any ideas for realistic improvements for my gun?

im gonna add a rough concept picture of how i would like the cosmetics of the gun to look when my internet stop screwing around.

Airsoft Club? Yes I do smell an airsoft club, illegally that is... I guess you're lucky you live in Tassy, since it's kind of middle of nowhere? no offense intended, but I actually wish I did live on a BIG ASS block of land .

Any ideas for realism? I've got two...

1. Go to Crazy Clarkes to buy a replica gun (there's a smaller scale version of an MP5 Navy which can fit a cloud chamber VERY well, but inline vortex would be too big) Or you can kind of have a M16 with mock grenade launcher (not very accurate representation sadly, smaller scale) and dremel your way a cut so you can slide the inline vortex chamber in...

2. You may have seen some pretty good craftiness (which you were probably aiming for with your AK47 wood stock, and if you can make that, your gun shells have endless possibilities)

Btw if you want a good stock, buying a Raider Nerf has a good stock since it replicates a "4 position stock" which is pretty cool... just paint it and it'll look mad...

ok thanks for the tips. sadly down in tazzie we dont have crazy clarks so i can scrap the mp5 shell idea and im not going to buy a raider just for the stock, i have considered this because it does have a very sturdy stock compared to the recon. i havnt much improved my bb gun atm the only addition is a red dot scope on the top.
