hey guys! is it possible to convert toy guns to airsoft guns? toy guns like those that shoot orange suction darts (and no not nerf guns)

Some of them smack the dart directly with a spring loaded hammer, others use compressed air like adult springer rifles, you'd have to take one apart to find out if the particular model can be adapted. Power is not going to be too impressive though...

You can sure try :) what sort of performance did you have in mind?

It's relatively easy to increase spring power, but then you're increasing stress on the trigger mechanism etc. so it's not so straightforward.

hmmmm. ill prolly have to buy a the gun first then take it apart and have a look. anyway i can modify the components so it takes the higher stress due to the spring?

It depends on the materials you have to hand, I have in the past upgraded cheap airsoft pistols reinforced with a combination of epoxy and metal parts.

buy it, take it apart (making note of the order!) and post a picture of the parts here, you'll have plenty of advice I'm sure :)

it the gun is what im thinkingit is it was not meant to come apart wthout having you get frusterated and smash it with a hammer, good luck cause ive tried and moved on :x

ya as i mentioned good luck, the way they make some of those guns is tey mold 2 halves sepertly and the melt all the plastic along the seem so its essiently onepiece of shitty plastic coveredin led based paint :D
