the same as the propane so the gun won´t blow apart

but with propane one charge can do at least 30 shots I think, more than enough to finish one magazine of bbs

but remembering seeing as propane is stored as a liquid there is infinitely much more of it so one mag of propane would contain a larger volume of compressed gas than one of air. so as a result a single mag of air unless compressed to pressures at which it liquefies will not be able to store enough air for a stream of shots, hence you need a secondary chamber to store air as well. :) it depends completely on your setup though

Yeah like Cammy said, the propane goes in the mag as a liquid because you fill it with the propane tank upside down. If you fill it with air you probably would only get a few nice shots.

but liquid propane doesn´t means there is more  what matters is the pressure, in the same pressure there should be the same amount of gas, but the propane does expands slower than air. I´m not wait for the same number os shoots, but I do hope it´s reasonable

Try using a co2 pistol. That way you can use higher pressure air.

Yes there is ;)

50mL of propane at 150 psi is a lot more gas at atmospheric pressure than 50mL of air at 150 psi...

:? so I better not mod the pistol... unless I find a mini reg so I can use higher pressure

Why not buy one of these blowbacks that can take CO2 or "green gas"?

For example.

That way you can use it with higher pressure air without worries.

not necessarily.
when things are in liquid form it means there is a higher density of it, say for example there is a container about 10cm by 10cm, at normal room temperature there is 10cm2 of air in it, if you pressurized it to two atmospheres (2bar, I think) then there would essentially be 20cm2 of air in it. if you emptied it out and pressurized it full of propane at 2 bar, because of the higher density of propane and its ability to liquefy at lower pressures there would be 40cm2 (for example, measurements are just for example) of propane in the container. so essentially you can store a larger amount of propane at lower pressures in a smaller area.
should you want to attain the same volume of air as propane at 2 bar (for more shots) in the container, then you would have to pressurize the container to 4 bar. can you see my reasoning?
unless you wanted to lug around a tiny airsoft mag full of air at 2500 psi, (which probably can't take the pressure) or attach the tiny cylinder to a larger tank designed for those pressures with a reg, a reg which might slow the air flow considerably when filling the mag full of air, reducing shot consistency. then the entire thing won't really work.
:D

... but didn't provide a convincing argument for or detailed description of what you were alluding to.

For example this is a CO2 pistol - the type I thought you meant - not airsoft and can't use green gas ;)

No no no, I mean a airsoft co2 pistol. What I would do is just drill a hole in the back of the co2 canister, and put in a schrader, then epoxy in place so it won't blow out. Then I would use a shock pump, fill to around 400 psi, and stick it in. It should provide enough shots if its a hammer valve pistol.
