12.7mm " Silenced Sniper"

Hey Spud Accelerators, this is a Mini Combustion I made about 3 months ago. The chamber was machined from Acetal rod in three pieces and is held together with two 4mm counter sunk screws, it's capacity is around 200ml.
Ignition is simply two more screws in the middle of the chamber, spark gap is around 8mm.
The barrel is 1040mm long however the porting for the silencer takes off about 150mm. It's a piece of pool fencing tube (Aluminium) with a great smooth bore.
The silencer was machined from Acetal rod also and features three baffles spaced apart (from the front) approx 20, 45, 60mm, it is packed with stainless steel scrubing pads that were ripped apart then shoved in. It simply slides over the end of the barrel and lines up with the porting, if you want a bit more velocity you simply turn it so the porting doesn't line up and you have a full length barrel.
With the rounds in the pics it can penetrate 3/4 way through my phone book witch is roughly 20mm thick, range is approx 100 metres with slightly heavier rounds.
Any questions feel free to ask.

Hey experament, thanks heaps, i may just have to build a stock for it, sounds like a great idea. I'm thinking clear polycarbonate cut out with a jigsaw, you think that would look cool? Oh yeah then could attach a laser sight

Very neat and nice looking. What is the C:B?And could you go into detail about those projectiles? They look nice.Great work on the machining aswell looks great.

Yo duelers, the description of how the projectiles are made is posted under Pimpin Ammo in construction/ammo discussion.
The chamber is 220ml and the barrel without silencer turned on is approx 180ml so i gues the c:b would be around 1: .8 or there abouts, i can double the barrel length very easy though with a coupler i made, that gives it a near
perfect c:b ratio and is nearly silent without the silencer.

very nice probably the best looking combustion around, are the bullets your "pimpin ammo"? also what fuel do you use? and how effective is the silencer?

Yes the projectles pictured are from my "Pimpin Ammo" range.
I use butane metered with a syringe.
The silencer knocks off roughly 40% of the sharp 'crack' that you get with small calibre combustions.
Thankyou for your nice comments :D

Edit: I mananged to put a house nail through 12mm "bullet proof" Polycarbonate with this gun!!

Nice cannon! I like the silencer the best! This thing would be really tight w/ a laser sight! :D
