PVC CLASS RATINGS IN AUSTRALIA..... I was looking at the preaasure rating on Austrailain pipes class9,12 and 18 and although our class 18 is the equivelency to sch 80 but it has a much lower pressure rating which doesnt make it safe for the use of hybrid applications unless you want to run 1.5xmixes but even then there is the risk of a rupture and death/serious injurey.Also trying to find steel rienforced unions is near impossible for me to find.I found this information out when i was reaserching for my own hybrid but this has halted the construction and i am opting for a steel design.
And also the class rating is its nominal running pressure in Bar(not the maximum pressure).The pressure rating on threaded parts has half the burst pressure rating.
class 9=9,Bar
class12=12,Bar
class18=18,Bar
So play it safe,although they do run on large pressure burst margins there still is the danger of a lethal expansion/explosion.Damn you Americans with your PVC pipe :x .

I'm sorry?

I wouldn't blame us. I'd blame your own country for not having PVC.

McMaster does not ship internationally and I'm sure if PlumpingSupply does it it will be expensive as hell.
