Can i use metric taps and die for propane meter?

my dads friend let me borrow a 40 piece tap and die set, metric combination thread, i needed npt right?

The lables on the die and taps read things like 5x0.75 and 3-0.6

you need National Pipe Thread or NPT yes, but they wont have that in metric.

You need 1/8" NPT-27 for using 1/8" fittings and
1/4" NPT-18 for using 1/4" fittings...

Like carl said, metric tap and die for metric fittings and pipe...
