I think the mods should start a new section for air/water rockets. I know it would definitely bring more traffic to the site. I have seen many sites about water rockets but i have never seen a forum. I don't know if enough people are interested, but i think it would be a cool thing to have.
Well, PCGUY says we can't really have more forum sections until the forum software is updated. However, I'm sure there's no issue with talking about it in Non Spudgun related - actually I doubt there'd be complaint about talking about it under pneumatic sections.
Also, I guess you didn't try looking very hard for those forums. :tongue3:

ok, it was just an idea, those forums are nice but no one will ever see them unless they look specifically for a forum someone who might be interested may never even see them. also they only have a couple hundred members.

Honestly mate, I agree with Rag, what's wrong with the pneumatic or non spud discussions. If all you want publicity this is the wrong site.
And if none of those MANY pages of water rocket forums appeal to you, then join a whole bunch! there's no rule that says you can only frequent one forum.
Add me on MSN to chat about whatever!
I'd noticed that they weren't exactly populated, but it's hardly true to say they're not out there.spudtyrrant wrote:Also they only have a couple hundred members.
@Carlman: I would note that much of what we do here does not pass as spudguns. BBMGs, many hybrids will never fire a spud, bores too big or small for spud to be wise...
The fact is, water rockets do however tie in very nicely with pneumatic launching - which we do a great deal of on this forum.
It doesn't need a new section, but there's no reason for this forum not to cover it.

I think there is a place for air/water rockets on the forum, after all it is still launching a projectile through the air using a compressed gas

We could do a general purpose water rocket thread in off topic, like ITWOST and What are you building?
But if you say build a nice flash launcher that shoots airsoft rockets, feel free to put it in the airsoft section. Same thing for using it as a piston or wad as a pneumatic. Or implementing a combustion water rocket system.
I reckon they're welcome, this would cover steam rockets as well I guess.
