So Boomer and I were cruising Menards's today looking around in the sprinkler valve aisle and noticed a huge rack of something that made us gasp with much joy. We had discovered a complete selection of 2" Gator Lock Cam-and-Groove fittings. We proceeded to purchase many of them - many more than pictured - and stopped for slushees and chili-cheese-dogs on the way home.

These are no ordinary cam locks. They are not only cheaper than Banjo fittings, local, and better in quality, but they also feature a double lock system. I have noticed that with Banjo fittings, the levers slowly let loose and threaten a barrel poppage; this isn't a big concern with launchers that need a barrel removal after each shot, but it comes in handy with drop loaders like my golf ball and tennis ball breech loaders. That is not a problem with these. See those little circles by the base of the cam levers? (Click on the images.) Press those buttons to release the lock on the levers.

I now have one of those hose barbed cam locks on the hose for the Proton Pack for much easier and dependable assembly. (Screwing and unscrewing those threaded adapters royally sucked.) I also have one on the Blue Flame II and one is on Boomer 2.0.

I love cam locks. I will have them on a lot more cannons now. Let me know if you would like to order any from me.
