i had some left over parts and i wanted to make a simple breech load barrel for my marble cannon. you just take a half inch coupling with the little rim in the middle drilled out and slide it on your barrel to where you want it. then just drill a hole the size of your usual ammo (marble for me) through both the coupling and the pipe.

you may want to add o rings too on the pipe where the edges of the coupling will be but i didnt bother because its a barrel so it doesnt have to hold the pressure perfectly. it doesnt leak very much for me without them.

now after you lube it up you should be able to twist the coupling so the holes dont line up. thats the firing postion and when they do line up is the loading position.

Not bad, nice and simple. Is that a hot glue stick you have as a handle? If you made a bigger hole under the breech thing then you could simply slide it forward for bigger ammo,eg. darts.
Forever dreaming...

what i would have done, is glue 2 couplers together, sanded them out and instead of a a hole, i would have just chopped out a piece of the pipe down the middle on 2 sides, so you end up with a crecent shape in the middle of the pipe for loading, then that is covered by the double coupler.

But cool.
