can i sleeve ABS pipes? and do i have to put glue over it before? will it seal well without glue? I am planing on cuting 7/8" just like suggested, put a few gb in and put rubber bands on it and leaving it in the sun / heat for a long time(a few days worth) so it will fit the GBs to prefection, then slip it in another 2" .

will that work?

I dont know what a GB is but I dont think you have to leave the pipe in the sun or anything, just hammer it into the other pipe.

all i can get is abs, and why wouldnt it fit? isnt the wall thickness the same as pvc, sch 40? and i want it to fit the golf balls perfectly, so i want it to get soft in the sun and the rubber band close the pipe over the GBs, and then sleeve it.
if it doesnt fit in the 2" pipe, i will bore it some how. http://www.geocities.com/cain333_2000/bore.gif

ABS pipe is a little bit thicker than PVC because the PVC can hold the same amount of pressure as a ABS pipe but still be thinner. The type of pipe veries with wall thickness but the type of pipe it is means how much pressure it can hold. You can use a 1 1/2" PVC pipe for your barrel because it fits golf balls perfectly (range balls). Even though you have to switch from an ABS chamber to a PVC barrel i dont consider it a safety hazard as long as you get multi-purpose glue that works for both types of pipe and ONLY your barrel is PVC and your bushings are all ABS. I did this on my gun and it shots good and i have never had a problem with switching pipe types here is a link http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=256

I am not going to sleave it, i will do some calculations, cut out a strip, and slowly close that gap, the use my dremal to make another 2" pipe 6" long fit around it and just glue it on, then seal the seam i made with glue and duct tape, then use a dozen hose clamps on it so it doesn't split again. or maybe more 6" sections.

does anybody understand me?

If you could find a rod or stick that was the same size as a golf ball i think that would work the best because you will get bumps inbetween the golf balls. Good idea the picture helped out alot.

no, the two things at the ends are small sections of 2" pipe, filed out so it will fit, then you put the threaded adapter after.

and thanks for the tip pimpmann.
