M1A1 Thompson Replica
Meh..It's your choice. Obviously a semi auto would be cool, but I'm kinda partial to bolt action guns. Of course, as stated above, the real gun is semi -auto, so if you're going for realism I'd go semi auto. If I were you, I would go with bolt action.

Hey thanks for all those replies. It is true i am not talkign about any bazookas(sp?) but the Thompson M1A1. The original has some kind of bolt on it does it not? Any way i think goign semi is just more simple. As for the metal balls: 3000x8mm from UK= 20£
3Euro for 200=45euro for 3000=40£...See my point?
I managed to find the jaws jrrdw mentioned(guess checking the draw with "all the crap i don't need atm" was a good idea). Now i did try some dumb things and maybe F***ed up a small piece of alli for good, but its no disaster. I will get my drill press soon, ordered it today and mean while I will order other parts i need. I'll start making the stock and the mag while i wait for the parts to arrive. The whole thing should be done before december along with my other project(which i am working on as well, bit of confusion there).
Any more comments replies or advice? I don't mind a bit of off topic, aslong as it relates some how to my original question. Also I will post the cannon and give you guys a bit of time to take guesses at the mech's function, first one to get it deserves a cyber cookie. Haha...Well happy spuddings

With £7 postage (although only £2 more for each additional item), and not shipping outside the UK...john bunsenburner wrote:As for the metal balls: 3000x8mm from UK= 20£
That said, I'm rather tempted to order up a load of those myself, because they'd make pretty good buckshot for my cannons.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Its still cheaper than buying it some where else, and i am sure those minor problems can be worked out some how. I might find some one to order it for me and then ship it over, or some begging is due...Worst case scenerio i find a valid reason to spend a week end in london
:D
Do you know how i can work out shipping costs to switzerland? Its 6.05kg, i guess it is some how doable, in switzerland a pack of 100 costs 6.40£. 3000=192£. For the price of 3000here i can buy 28 800 in the UK...i assume you see why i go to greath lengths to import...

Alright this should get things strait: 3000 8mm metal balls cost:
20£ in England
40£ in Poland(but are 8.7mm which means i need a drill bit, so more)
192£ in Switzerland
