I'm trying to use GGDT to optimize the chamber volume to a fixed barrel length of 12" but every time I hit optimize it gives me an error that says "Run time error '11': Division by zero." I tried the fixed chamber and fixed length options and those both work fine but the fixed barrel option doesn't. Any suggestions?

Here is a screen shot of my input. There might be something wrong but I don't know what it could be. Maybe someone could try running the data for me to see what they come up with.

dwell time can't be 0

Ok, I changed the dwell volume to 100ms and it gives the same error.

ohh now I am lost...it did work for me with a couple of designs but you're right it does crash... if you get rid of all zeros from data it doesn't crash always but some time it does

so far I couldn't get it to crash with 'chamber/barrel seal.' types of valves I've tried about 20 different designs... try to model your design using one of those valves

it might be that the 'generic valve' causes it to crash... I recall D_hall saying that's this function is not the best implemented... I wonder what he will tell about this

ohh btw... dwell time is, IIRC, the amount of time that the valve stays open

I think the problem may be the zero dead volume.

Try setting it to an arbitrarily low value instead of zero.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

I tried to get rid of all zeros but they are not the problem... it seems that 'generic valve' is the problem here
