I made probably the most basic spud gun there is . It is a combustion cannon. This is what I made, instead of the Lanter lighter we used a barbeque
sparker.
The problem with it is that it did work for about half an hour, and the sparker is making a definate spark, but the right guard body spray will not ignite inside of the combustion chamber. We have tested out all different amounts of fuel, and none will ignite. Can anyone tell me what the problem is. Is it that we used a barbecue sparker?
Problem with my basic spud Gun. Help needed

The problem is probably not with the bbq sparker but rather with your fuel. Maybe try different amounts or a different fuel all together. My choice is propane. Allways works and even better after its been metered.

4.If you have enough grease & a big enough hammer, you can put anything... anywhere
3.If all else fails, hit it with a big hammer
2.Matter will be damaged in direct proportion to its value
1.If anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway

You said that it worked for 30 min right? If so then the inside of your chamber has to be dried out and aired before shooting again.
