Hmmm... to be honest I've only tried it to 150 psi or so, so I can't comment about high pressures. I will try and compare construction to the 3000 psi rated slide valves I also have.
I got a rifled 14" paintball barrel today. I'm pretty sure that general consensus says that it will not help spherical projectiles (especially those filled with paint), but if I made some bullets for it with a thin layer of tape to catch the grooves, could it stabilize them?
Rifling
will stabilise a spherical projectile, indeed rifling came about long before cylindrical projectiles. The problem with paintballs is that they are also soft and have a liquid core.
