Really? Im pretty sure it was the overcurrent protection. There are three pins on the side, one on top and two on bottom. The top one had a black wire that went through the black cylinder and then to the plug, the bottom two pins had a black plastic box covering them with some electronics in it that I'm pretty sure is the starter. It hade a cone of thick copper wire on the bottom and only 1 wire coming out, the white one going to the plug.

So is the compressor totally dead? Do I just need a new starting relay?

thanks much for the info i have an old fridge i was about ready to throw out now i am going to salvage the compressor :)

I realize a refrigerant compressor would be quieter than a shop air compressor. But what is the PSI output on one of these conversions? I have heard the most potential is from a 110v window ac unit @250psi. Does anyone have theirs on a gage to know?

My Fridge Compressor reaches 1500 Psi and it's tiny.

Ok so i have two of the fridge compressors now im having a problem with one of them i run it and it works fine fills my airtank abit slow but works fine non the less but after i shut it off i go to charge my 2nd tank and it just clicks and then does nothing i have to let it sit for 30 mins to an hour before it works again i wouldn't really care but that one goes above 1000psi and the 2nd compressor starts to strain bad at 500psi any info would be great and thanks to PS for the video :)

ohh and BTW if someone has a video showing you removing the compressor please post it here

mine still works and atm I can't even find an old fridge just to make a video on how to remove one from fridge
