I think I have mentioned everything people need to know about making a 1/2 QEV or a 3/4 piston valve...
The piston valve is the same as here, I learnt how to make it some years ago from it, the link was sent to me by this guy and that´s how I met spudfiles.

Any estimate on the cost of the parts? I would love to build a brass piston vavle, but costs have always kept me with PVC.

They cost me last than 20 euros for sure, probably less than 10 euro but I don't remember, made it almost 4 years ago.

Hmm... so on the for about 13 USD I can make a 3/4" metal piston valve or I can buy a premade 1/2" QEV for about 8 USD. Is there a benefit to using a homemade piston valve of this size versus http://www.ebay.com/itm/QE-02-Pneumatic ... 20cd074cd5?
Also, not sure how to shorten URLs when posting heh.

Homemade 3/4 has better flow and more stylish

Ah, one more question while I'm here - is there an account setting I can change so that I know when someone posts in a thread I've posted in? I've only seen your responses in this thread by coming back to it and I realize this will make it difficult to reply to anyone who responds to me in other threads...

Near the bottom of the page there's a button that says "Watch this topic for replies"
What would be ironic would be if you forgot to check for replies, and never saw this

Huh. It says I'm watching for replies... but I didn't see any notification when you posted. I'm I looking in the wrong places? Is there a place to see where replies are posted to watched topics?

Well there's the recent topics bar. It sends me an email every time someone replies in a topic I've posted in, I had to turn it off in settings, you you can probably turn it on. Or, try checking your junk mail folder.
Keep in mind that the QE-02 has a 3/8 inch port not the implied 1/2 QEV.cowscankill wrote: I can buy a premade 1/2" QEV for about 8 USD.
