I was just curious, what do you guys normaly pay for your pipe, do you have to buy it in lengths or by the foot.

For me I live in Canada and am pretty much screwed for pipe, If I want say 4" SCH 40 PVC I have to buy a 20' lenght for around $170, it really sucks and If I want SCH 80 lol thats over $300!!!!

1.5 in SCH40 pipe is about $6.50, 3in SCH40 is maybe $8 for 10' of it at my Home Depot. And for fittings I get most of mine at Lowes since Home Depot seems to overcharge .

PVC is a bit expensive... but what rules is the cheapness (or relative cheapness) of galvanized steel here (along with black as well)

It cost me $20 to build a PVC piston-valved paintball gun, and is only costing my $20 to build a steel piston valved paintball gun

Pretty impractical, but great for use in under 50 degrees!

I belive the propper term for what you describe as 'ripping your ass' is 'supply and demand'

Does anyone live in Maine and know what the prices are like for PVC?

That's the only place I could really go in the near future.
