The temperature spike is brief, I'd say it would work.

I found this one over here. I think it is of better quality and is designed for 200 bar, because it is for CNG compressed natural gas of vehicles. It costs almost the same, I will try to get this

Hectmarr, if the valves break after some time, I have a suggestion. If you can put a flow restriction on the chamber side of the valve, like a fitting with a 1mm hole, then that will cool the gasses and help protect the valve

In reality, the valve is never destroyed. The problem is that I do not want to make them myself. I need to get some common valve, which is for sale. I use little pressure on the 7X maximum hybrids and the heat is not a problem so far. Thanks for the idea.

A have a quick question:
I want to build a cannon which recoils like a ww1/ww2 first gun where a spring absorbs the recoil force and returns the barrel to its original position.
Would it be easier to get more recoil to do this with a combustion or a pneumatic?

If you want to maximize recoil, you want a powerful launcher that's also light, in that regard a combustion is definitely easier to achieve, it certainly had enough recoil in my experiments to eject a cartridge:

Hm, but if I need to keep it light then the entire barrel recoiling may not be feasible.
Maybe some kind of hydraulic system triggered by the shot?

Why not? You're good with PVC and a large enough chamber and heavy projectile is definitely going to give you a good kick.

Happy holidays for this whole community and especially for friend Jack, who talks with me about these issues. My best wishes for a nice Christmas for everyone. :)

Quick question regarding pumps:
Has anyone found a pump that works by rotating a crank rather than the regular up-and-down piston that are so common?
A friend of mine built a little sheet metal "tank" and wanted me to build a pneumatic cannon for it, but the tight quarters inside make using a pump difficult and bringing a compressor impossible.
