i was thinking of making a potato gun that would shoot nails/screws because well i gto billions of them anyways and it would be able to be disasembeled and reasembeled to fit into a breefcase to it would look more like a "assassins" weapon lol i think itd look cool but any designs would be nice..

also i want it to be bolt action looking and hoping to have 200+ psi in it so ill prob have to make my own valve lol.

thanx,

Ok.

Assuming this is for "storage" (legal) rather than being a briefcase with ballistic capacity (illegal), then I can only say that the modular designs are much more effective in real firearms than spudguns.

I have no designs, I can't help you there. It's probably better that you think of your own.

I can suggest making it from copper, and using compression fittings where appropriate so that it can be disassembled.

You could build it with a chamber that is curved to fit in the briefcase, or use tubing for the chamber.

A sniper rifle that can be broken down into parts that will fit into a briefcase.

Sounds easy enough but you're going to have to compromise on a single piece barrel if you want one long enough to be called a sniper.

As Jo said copper is probably your best bet, detachable compression fittings would allow the barrel to break up but still be pressure safe when fitted together.

Or for a slightly smoother appearance an end feed fitting soldered to one half of the barrel and split slightly at the unsoldered end so it can be clamped to the other half of the barrel with a hose clip/worm screw clip/jubilee clip thing.

Or if you go for plastic a push-fit connection and a release tool could work.

You can have a modified 9oz co2 bottle for teh chamber with a ball valve that keeps teh pressure in until you assemble your gun with the main valve and barrel etc.

You could use a 1 Kg fire extinguisher, it holds a little more that 1 liter of compressed air and can stand a pressure of 20 bar (290 psi) and it is compact.
