Me to, works pretty good if the apple is firm but it don't peel spuds very well. You could make the knife shaped a little different, add a handle for better control, it could work.

Hey my mom has like three of those (she gets them at yardsales), but if the apple isnt hard it breaks out the core before it finishes peeling it.

those things are awesome! I make a coil then sprinkle cinnimon sugar on them then bake 'em... taste good
