has anyone ever seen that mythbusters where they are testing the myth that hay can go through a tree? well i wanted to make breech loading like theirs ( just a hole on the barrel and another pipe that fits snugly over the whole)
what whould be the best way to make that hole? can it be done on pvc or should i get metal barrel?

It can be done with PVC.
With what tool... ain't too sure.. A regular reciprocating saw or something?

can you cut pvc with recipricating saw without damaging the pipe?if you could then that wouldnt be to hard to make the hole if you had someone holding it still for you

Well, i'm pretty sure you can buy a blade that can cut thru plastic.

Just hold the pipe in a vice and use a holesaw. That's the easiest way.

My dad has this little boring tip for his drill press.
It looks like an elongated dome with spirlaing grives runing around it.
I had to drill a hole the same size as the bore of the tip, and then keep grinding the copper barrel against the tip to make a bigger hole.

Use a T-coupling. Thats much easier than cutting the pipe itself on the top...unless you dont want to cut it in half...

That is a pretty smart idea. A T-coupling with a sewer end cap.

Except that a T isn't the same diameter as regular pipe, so when ammo hits the lip of the pipe, it loses speed, accuracy, and if you have paintballs or something they break.

By the T you can shove it past the T in the barrel.
