Fuel+Fan=Death?

I have a 3 inch chamber for my combustion and a fan, that covers most the diameter, is lodged in the clean out. This leaves like no room to add fuel without spraing it into the fan itself. I could unscrew the barrel and spray in there I guess. But I was wondering is using (right guard) would hurt the fan is it have direct contact with the fuel.

my gun has same size chamber as yours with the fan in the clean out
threads , cap has a cork that i pull out ,with the fan running i spray
fuel through it, firing an entire bag of spuds. that fan is on till iam done basting . i have shot hundreds rounds just like and pc fan still fine.

I would suspect that it would not harm the fan. All it's electrical components are most likely sealed, or at the very least, robust. I geuss you could probably mess up the bearings (they do have bearings, right?), but that might require you to try to spray somethnig sticky in them.

... but nothing you couldn't fix by running it through a dishwasher cycle without the detergent.

Im pretty sure they don't have bearings. I think its like a rod in the fan thats connected to the motor, im sure you've seen something like that. But I think if I hold the can a few inches back, the fan will pull in air and fuel without getting a lot in the fans inner workings.
