Im sure this has been asked somwhere on here, and once again, I failed to find it if it has been asked. Anyway.

Im upgrading to propane, or at least have a mind-set on it. I have searched web sites, the forum, and so on, in search of how to use propane safely and right. From what I have determined, basically, you just inject some propane in and try to get a fuel to air ratio, similar to using, say hair spray or deoderant.

Also I have noted that people measure it by PSI in the chamber. Im pretty lost, but maybe im not? I need help once again. Just another noob in the evolutionary process.

By the way, im wanting to use the propane injection idea found on this forum, not sure what it was called, I drew the plans right off the forum, but basically it involved a ball valve and some clear hose. Could be used for different spud guns. Im sure you know what I speak of.

If you want to measure the propane in your gun read up here http://burntlatke.com/lp.html If I may I would suggest not to measure the amount of propane just mount your tank (via hoseing) and then just toy around with the amount propane injected each time untill you get the right mixture (just like any other fuel) The ratio that latke found to be the best is 4.03% propane to 95.97% air. If that last factiod is confusing for now just forget about it. Hopefully that makes sense.

I agree with pimpman22 I've used propane in some other experiments and it worked well but if you don't know the exact mixture fire your canon blank (without ammo) or try the amout of propane in another chamber same size as yours on your combustion gun.

the mixture will be different if you fire it blank, use a burst disk to simulate ammo clogging the barrel to make a seal, keeping the propane in
