Well, you can select a favorite really. ABS is for combustion uses, while Pressure Rated PVC is for pneumatic purposes.

One thing I have noticed about ABS is that it smells like burning synthetic material when you do anything to it. I mean if you file/dremmle/sand it, it just smells awfull!
It's also really soft and scratches easily.

PVC, on the other hand, smells like hot corn oil and is not [as] soft.

I beg to differ, I I was cutting a project box made from ABS with a dremel, and the fumes were terrible. If you ask me, ABS is the one that smells like "deas anus".

PVC does shatter and create dust, but it's much stronger when it comes to pressure apliccations. If you ask me, PVC is better.

i agree, even though i havent used abs much(only once) but it uh........... lets say broke. the barrel sorta seperated from the chamber upon detonation, and flew about 20 ft farther than the spud. my opinon is that pvc solivent welds better, and abs is bad

If it works I guess, I mean, I would'nt use ABS unless its a combustion cannon, but I'd probably just use PVC, its cheaper here.
