he's one of those guys who wants to do everything himself and refuses to even come on to this web site. He's one of those guys who uses words like, "It should work great" or "you just have to..." or my personal favorite, "All I have to do is...". I suggested epoxy to fix his leaks. The reason I'm sort of bugged by him is because he is a totally freeloader, he was trying to call, "dibs" on my shrader valves and he is basiclly in dept from barrowing money from his parents to build his gun.
btw. he tried to glue his gun together in his room.

Something to consider: I bought a 10' piece of 1/2 inch sched 40 to make mini-marshmallow shooters for my son and friends. I got it at HD. I got a bag of elbows and tees too. There is no point in gluing these up, just press fit, right? Well, none of the sched 40 would fit in the fittings, it would rock and just fall out. I had to use 3 layers of black vinyl tape to make it a press fit. So I just went to the local Ace and bought another 10' and it worked fine.

It might be the stuff he was using was out of spec like the piece I bought, and he just didn't notice, since he's a newbie to PVC. That and/or a combination of no primer/twisting.

i have never had a leak or a creak. ad i have never used primer and have but 4 pneumatics and 3 bbmgs and a few shitty combustions. so if you're friends stuffed up he really stuffed up.

b.t.w because i don't use primer i use a more expensive cement which is made to withstand high pressures my dad and a good friend of mine are both plumbers and neither even suggested primer when i showed them my cement.

haha sounds like me, nothing like a flash fire in your room in the middle of the night from the cement fumes to almost make you sh*t yourself.
Ok so he got some issues, but he's your mate (kind of), so there gotta be a reason you hang. He's new and excited about this hobby and probably just wants to build (and still is uneasy with the basics). Why don't you help him and try to convert him to a safe person of this hobby and put up with his crap, instead of whining about whats irritating about him and how he screwed up. Better to deal and keep him safe, rather then let him be another accident statistic.

And draghkar, I've only had that problem with the pipe being slightly to big for the fitting, never heard about it being to small, interesting, I'll rememebr to check the pipe to the fitting before I buy now.

will do. I have helped him though, i went to the store with him 2or 3 times to get parts for this project and when i didn't go he called me every 5 minutes with questions, I practically gave him a parts list and we built the entire gun over at my house. He is just a huge scatter brain. I guess the point is that i helped him a lot with this project and if he can't even tell my the truth about how he glued pipe together, well it sort of pisses me off.

Wouldn't that be odd, a model posing with the swat gun?
