Jack, someday i will post my cartridge ejecting gun..... sure it doenst work on air pressure due to feeding issues but its still flippin sweet!!!!!

A cartridge gun acutally might be one of my projects after christmas, a little birdie told me im getting an HPA setup!!!!

still, this gun is pretty cool....... seeing what it did to that 2X4 i can see how it has the capability to make nearly anything holy...... or holey, whatever you wanna say.

It was Django who originally linked to this gun on Spudtech. He got it from Thehomegunsmith. The plans had to be bought then.

The velocity quoted of 370 fps is however lower than I achieved with my ball valve strafer (which averaged 400 fps for steel BBs) though the builder notes that he was using "only" 700 psi, whereas the Caselman design is good for at least 4 times that pressure.

Believe it or not I was just thinking about this last week, but scaling it down to 3mm calibre to satisfy my almost Japanese obsession with miniaturisation We'll see, I suddenly have a lot more on my plate for 2012.

I remember reading through the PDF plans a while ago, his power calculations were way off, he was assuming constant acceleration through the barrel.

But it is none the less impressive.

For a moment I though it was BTB's. Looks like a auto hammer and a pneumatic cylinder to cycle the bolt.

Yeah we've touched on it before. Having had the chance to fiddle with a lot of paintball guns since crossing the Atlantic, they really are an excellent basis for an auto project that can cause more damage...

Once upon a time I though about getting a mechanical paintball marker (not the solenoid ones). But most of them are semi only right? You just change the sear for full auto or a more sophisticated approach?
Tippman is doing good at realism for paintball markers. Have you heard of their HPA airsoft M4? Pretty decent for the price IMO.

All the ones we have capable of full auto have an electronic grip, there are certainly ways to mess with the sears of mechanical ones but for some reason only the electronic ones seem to be a commercial success.

You know it can use co2 magazines too right, also their co2 magazines are "valveless"
Lots of people were worried about having "rocket magazine" flying around when reload, I think after 80 rounds there won't be much left. If it's designed to use unregulated co2 or equivalent HPA, that means a much cheaper rig to use the gun...

If there's one thing I've learned about people who play airsoft and paintball, 90% of them do not have even a basic understanding of the physics involved.

I like how 90% of that guy's equipment is from harbor freight.
That must have been a frustrating build, and definitely gives credit to his ability as a machinist.

I pretty much much always have to make a second or third part using HF stuff .
