radioshack will not carry. try a industrial supply store, or order online.

a pic would not help at all because they come in all differnt sizes and shapes, my has a way over the top voltage rating of 370v and you only need like a 150v. so that might be why mine is so large. its about 2.5inches wide, 3/4 deep and 4inches tall. its in a metal case

a way over the top voltage rating of 370v and you only need like a 150v.
Its rated at 370v because the peak to peak voltage in 110ac is 170 volts and the startup cap gives you a 'storage voltage' boost when the motor turns on. Its just so you don't over work the capacitor and have it blow on you just when you need it most.

Well actually peak to peak is 2 times peak.

rms x 1.414 = peak
rms x 2(1.414) = peak to peak.

370/2 = 185 vac peak

185/1.414 = 130.8 vac rms max.

110 vac has a typical range of 95 to 125 vac rms
