Cheers

while it was a big deal to quit my job, sell most of my earthly possessions and leave my loved ones behind, I have to say that already being a Canadian citizen as well as having LeMaudit who is going out of his way to help me settle down is making the transition very smooth.
My perception is that the Canadians as a people are polite, tough and fair. I think you are going to fit in beautifully. Brace yourself for winter though. I have only seen snow twice in my life and it was only about -2 degrees Celsius for a day.

.
So damn polite, you want to punch them in the face

the last flight from Toronto to Quebec was a nightmare, with the plane rerouted to Ottawa because of fog, then back to Toronto, then having to board another flight several hours later and to find that your luggage would arrive on the subsequent flight... any other citizens would have started a riot, but not the Canadian passengers... incredible.
I am so jealous I could cry.
That was my position when I started this thread. I returned to epoxyland and wondered what the heck I was doing in that sh!thole. Ah well, I'm here now
I'll follow you whenever I get the chance
You'd be welcome
If they are like the French girls I've met you should have a very good chance of hooking up with some
Sort of French... but not really... we'll see

women are the last thing on my mind at the moment to be honest.
he is in for a shocker when he has to plug in a block heater, battery warmer and inline heater ..... ooooo they days of being stationed in Cold Lake Alberta.
I started 2013 in Siberia where temperatures went down to -35 celcius on some nights, so its not a complete surprise, but i admit never having had to start a car in such conditions.
lol when we are at the auto dealer as we approached the truck the guy started the engine with the key fob, my jaw dropped and I turned to him "SOLD!". He looked at me with a bemused "Silly European, all cars have this here!" sort of look hehehe
