CO2 Cannon Question...
Answer to this is probably yes, but I'm making a co2 pneumatic and I'm making my chamber to do roughly 100psi. Does this mean that I will only get one shot @ 100psi per 12g CO2 cartridge? Cause if so, this could get expensive after a couple dozen shots...

i am not too sure
but for a paint ball gun they use a hammer valve which only lets out a small amount of high pressure CO2, so its all in your valve i suppose
could get complicated fabricating one from scratch
hopefully you will get a better answer from someone else
what material are you using for your gun, i have always wondered if CO2 causes pvc to become brittle as it freezes the hose on fire extinguishers???
Sorry i could not be more informative but i have not used CO2 before!!!

A CO2 cartrige is a one-use item.

He wasnt asking about how many shots a paintball gun gets. He was asking about how many shot a spud gun would get.

4.If you have enough grease & a big enough hammer, you can put anything... anywhere
3.If all else fails, hit it with a big hammer
2.Matter will be damaged in direct proportion to its value
1.If anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway

Yeah, but then you'd also need a way to have it only let a certain amount of CO2 into the chamber. Which would either require a hammer valve or a regulator... meaning that there'd be no advantage to using a 12 gram cartrige over a large tank.
You can use a bunch of ball valves and pipe nipples in series and capture co2 in between each valve and open a new valve for each shot.
I'd suggest getting a 20oz co2 setup.

CompUSA near my home they have an office duster that uses 12g c02's.
I was thinking that you could take that and somehow incorporate the nozzle (its screw on I think) into the chamber or use a hose and attach it using a barbed fitting (attach the hose to the nozzle and the other end to the barbed fitting.) even better than this is the ultraflate bike tire inflators (my friend has one) that screws strait on to a Schrader valve and can get (I was playing with it) about 30 seconds of co2 out of a 12g (that’s just holding down the trigger).
Also it has this little grip that enables you to empty it without freezing your hand
You can buy these at any bike store (...I think) and you get many (8-10 4 second bursts). Also if you run out of co2 you can just put in a new one.
And as for the paintball guns and stuff it does not empty the co2 into a storage tank it has a little valve that is triggered by the hammer than lets short bursts come out of the 12g (or atleast that’s the way it is on a pellet gun)
