Cloud

I am planning to make my first cloud but most clouds that I have seen are hooked up to an external air tank, I want a air tank on the gun so I can play airsoft with it. How big of a chamber would I need for this? I want the whole gun to be about 2 feet long if possible.

Don't bother, my 21 litre tank reg'd to 80psi only lasts a few seconds of decent shooting, then the last few seconds are average.
If you want to play airsoft with a cloud/vortex you'll need reg'd CO2.

In short, unless you have a CO2 or HPA tank, forget it. Clouds are appalling on air consumption. If you had a vortex, it might last a bit longer.
You are not going to be playing many successful airsoft games with a cloud.
Just get a good AEG and a couple of hi-cap magazines - you'll do much better.

ok thanks I am thinking about making it single shot with some kind of clip. I am trying to think of a way to attach a regular airsoft gun clip and a way to feed the bbs from there to the barrel if you have any ideas please help.

Actually, someone on this forum uses various vortex BBMGs powered by a 10 pound CO2 tank with apparently good results. I think his name is "singularity". Unless you can get a small, portable liquid nitrogen tank (about as likely as getting a pet pterodactyl), CO2 is your best bet for this, as it can store far more gas in a given space than even an HPA tank (I think, although someone is bound to correct me

).

Yea a hpa tank will carry more air. In paintball, a typical co2 tank is 20oz and output is 800psi. With a hpa, it has 68ci and 3000-4500psi with an output of 450(low pressure reg) to 800psi (high pressure reg.)

someone a while back was trying to convert an old MP5 AEG to a pneumatic bbmg that used a blowgun as a valve and the standard gearbox and mag but he never posted the results if he did finish it
