i find it best to take your time and paint it well, i like keeping the spray can about 6-8 inches from the material being painted and be sure to only use it in well ventilated areas... the back of the can will tell you even more.

Vinyl dye will be the best for this, since it actually dyes the plastic, it doesn't just paint over it. (as in, you would have to shave off a layer of the pvc for the color from the dye to fade, unlike paint which can scrape off of the surface from regular use.) Oh yeah, and Krylon fusion isn't really that great, even though it says on the can that it works well on plastics.

Yeah give the dye up, it would probably be more expensive, can't change the colour, harder to find and Krylon does an excellent job, i'm not sure what you are talking about.

Oh well I still don't think it would be too practical for most.

Is it meant for PVC, where can you buy it etc?

krylon works plenty well what do you mean Wombat lol you have to recoat a couple layers it really bonds well with pvc you have to wait 7 days for it to be chip resistant and it really works

I havent painted a spudgun before but I have used krylon fusion on pvc.
It is not absolutsly amazing and perfect as everyone seems to describe it as I have had problems with chipping in the first 2-3weeks not one week.
But the thing that is great about it is that it looks really good.Just handle it carfuly within the first couple weeks and then it sets in and is great.
I would definatly recommend it over this dye wombat recommends.
I have also tryed other spray paints and they dont compare to krylon in looks or chipping resistance but the plus side about other is they are cheaper.

I use normal spraypaint which seems to dry chip-resistant within a week or two, so you don't need Kyrlon, but it is made for plastics.
