Yea if you just go to the website it gets more specific about what you get and also tells you how to contact Joel.
It would be really nice you bought it from him. You'd be doin some good business with people, especially from here.

If you were to buy the SGTC, you would have a customer from just about everyone here, because you'd be the only one with a tried and true rifling machine.
DONT TAZE ME BRO.. DONT TAZE ME... AHHHHYea, that's definitely going to get you at least a tazer.

The market's there and growing, and it's not just about selling cannons to amateurs either, Joel dabbled in R&D projects requiring pneumatic cannons and I'm sure there's a lot of money in there.

Copper is a metal..
It rifles PVC.
It rifles PVC.
No. He only had cutters for 1.5" Sch40, 2" Sch40 and 2" Sch 80 PVC. That's all he offered, and if there was anything else he could have done, it's logical he would have offered it for sale, do you not think?jook13 wrote:I hope this isnt too off subject, but does his machine rifle copper or metal?
@jr: I hope you'll have help. The site was bogged down in orders before it had several months where it wasn't selling - so you'll have a lot of people who've been looking to buy just about everything, and they'll all order very soon after it restarts, so you are going to need some people to help.

i am still waiting to here from joel!!! i got very little sleep last night, the anticipation is growing rapidly..
Being berried is what i am hopping for 8)
so far the interest is still fairly strong and i will know more in a few days

In that case, be an unpopular politician. Eventually amongst the stones, eggs and flour, there may be some berries. Hopping with anticipation is a new one for me.jr wrote:Being berried is what i am hopping for
More sensibly, lots of sales is good, undergoing a mental breakdown isn't. You really will need at least a couple of helpers for it, or you'll build up a hefty backlog of angry customers who want their stuff (many will cancel, I imagine), and you'll go out of your mind under stress.
Joel often had to work over 80 hours a week there were so many orders, and he was still behind. If you have you and two other people each doing 40 hours a week, I know that's more expense, but you should be able to keep up with work more easily, you won't go mad, and if you can get orders out of the door quicker, you'll actually get more sales.
I know a lot of people were hesitant about ordering from spudtech because of the very lengthy wait times.
Another important thing is it would help if you tided up your spelling and grammar. I can see that you can use good English, even from the other posts in the thread, but I know I'd be more confident ordering from someone with consistently good language - because I always remember a wise thing I was once told : "There is a surprisingly strong correlation between good post construction and good launcher construction."
If you look around, much more often than not, the better launchers are made by people who use good grammar and spelling.
Being entirely honest, your use of poor spelling and grammar doesn't instil confidence. You may have the interest, but...
I'm not trying to get at you for your lapse in spelling, but this is honest advice. It's going to be very important to always use good English if you want to instil confidence in potential customers. In the eyes of the forum (a significant part what could be your market), you're already being judged.
