Today I found out how powerful my spud gun is. I shot a potato at a 3/4'' sheet of plywood from 50 yards away and It shot a big hole right through it. .The bad part about it is that my dad thought a spud gun was really weak and couldnt harm anybody until he saw the big hole in the sheet of plywood . My dad said I couldnt fire it in the air anymore because it could hurt sum1( I live in the middle of south florida, and I kno its a bad idea 2 shoot a spud gun cuz its really crowded and there isnt much open land, [theres a building everywhere u look]. Let me get str8 to the point, my dad will let me shoot my spud gun if theres a way to decrease the amount of power to about half of the power it has right now. Is there any way to do that?....like add more fuel,(cuz i heard that the less butane u use, the more powerful it is) ..or use something smaller than the size of the barrel.

butane is a funny gas to work with, less can be more, (you'd be suprized), try useing a different fuel like axe/hairspray/propane even, propane is good because it is metered, and you can measure the amount and control your distance that way, if you explain it to your dad that way let him help you with it, i'm sure it will turn out for the best for both of you, i think it's pimpman or spudshot that sell the fitting you need to hook up the bottels to your meter and cannon, let us know how it turns out

thanks, I'll tell him what u said... I always wanted to have a metering system, but I never thought my dad would let me because it would b too powerful.
