what kind of paint could you use for painting pvc?

all the primer i have wont work on pvc, it just beads up and rolls down the pipe.

Did you sand the pipe? I ususally use something like 500 grit, then paint a layer, then use 1000 grit to get a good feel. Try that or get paint for plastics

I would suggest Krylon Fusion, which is made for plastics.

x2, the best stuff for cannons. Super chip resistant paint if applied properly and cured (takes like 7 days to fully cure, but it's OK to be handled in 24 hours).

The best way I've found for prepping PVC for painting is to give it a good scrubbing with a green scotch bright pad (which is basically fine sandpaper and is used for that purpose by wood workers) with liquid dish soap and water (great for removing the oils on the pipe). When clean the high gloss of the fittings will be greatly reduced and the eveything will have a uniform dull finish that takes paint pretty well.

I believe the most important thing is getting the oils and grime off the gun, roughing up the surface helps but is less important than getting the PVC clean. (Ever looked at you hands after looking for PVC parts at the hardware store? Pipe and fittings are very grungy.)

It will take much longer for the paint to truely cure than what it says on the paint can. You can usually handle the gun the next day but it'll be a week or more before the paint has fully cured.

Don't forget the soapy water. If you use water proof sandpaper (the black stuff) you can use the soapy water as the sanding lubricant.
