Hey everyone, This is really random, but it has been a quiet day today and I really got to thinking about the first site I ever saw about spud guns, it's a pretty humble site, but it was the site that got me started on my career of spudgun building, :)

This was the site, spudguns_UK

And I don't even know why, but I look at this site over again really makes me remember when I first started experimenting with airguns (this was in grade 6, so 5 years ago)

I wanted to know what got you guys started on your quest for spud glory

If its a story, a website or something else, I want to know how all you guys got started with this hobby, which we have all come to love so much

Lets see for me it was the summer and my driver's license had been revoked by the state of illinois. . So as i sit at home being extremely bored i got on the internet. As i looked through you tube i found a spudgun video. Everything clicked and the day i got my license back i built my very first potato gun ever and it was pnuematic.

First I was talking about the website... I meant no offense to you.
And second, same as trigun, except I was twelve and I didn't have a license anyway. But I was grounded from t.v. and couldn't leave my yard, so I got on the computer and found the awesomeness of spudgunnery!

Yup, this and youtube, have helped me so much. I glad there is a whole community of people who want to help others like myself accomplish what they have. Oh yeah, I'm deep...

My story is here with the Old School Cannon. My first "modern" PVC spray and pray was described to me by word of mouth by my brother-in-law in the 93-94 timeframe...I built one based on that and it shot 1" wooden dowel slugs. The hobby has been either on the front burner or back burner (wanting it to be on the front burner) for me ever since.

I found plans through SScentral for a water balloon cannon, but didn't discover this site until I joined Nerfhaven.

I actually was introduced to spudding trough the show on Discovery: Monster Garage. They made a mail car that launched packages by a pneumatic cannon. As soon as I saw that, I rushed over to the computer and dove into spudding.

Now I can just wait to see his face when hes comes up and he sees what I have made. :D

I think it started when my friend tried to get me to build a pringles can mortar with him, then I searched Youtube for ideas on improving it, and found out about spudguns.
