Thats gotta be the funnest thing ever! Ive always wanted to make little war machines and blow other ones up. Has to get expensive once you consider you blew up ~50$ in electronics and more money in time constructing.
O man, my head is fluttered with ideas. I would simply make a BBMG then have a onboard storage take such as a scuba tank, then cruise around blasting other peoples boats. You dont know how bad I would love to do this, Ive seriously dreamed of this since I was like 5...
EDIT- Imagine what you could do with a GB combustion. Although you would blow everything out of the freaking water. A GB going at 400 FPS that can do some major damage. Fairly cheap compared to all the other contraptions on those other boats. You guys like you got the electronics thing down, I could very easy assisted on a very cheap semi automatic combustion giving you another shot in under 2 seconds. Only 2 operations which should extremly simply any remote controlled options. I love it!!!

I'd put a layer of aluminum under my wood hull so once it tore off BB's would fly everywhere off me and probally sink the boats around me

the ships skelotines are made of wood, then coverd with fiber glass and some people evan put a thin layer of metal over it. all the elevtronics are waterproofed and the ship is lined with a thin layer of bolsa. onve youve been shot down and start to sink you ship will full with water ( duh ) and wont harm any of your electronic components. a part of you ship must be boyand so when it sinks the part will float up with a bit of string attached so you can just pull your ship out. once retreved you drain the water and put some duct tape over the hole put your ship back in the water and get some revenge

As much time as it takes to build a good RC Ship, there's no way i would take a chance on getten it shot up, unless i had it armed with some kind of instent kill bomb of some kind. My friend Mike built a 6' battle ship with twin .40 size engines, (2 strokes). It took him 1 1/2 years to finish it, he did a great job, i wish i had pics of it. I know for a fact he wouldn't chance getten it shot up. I say we build some nice combustion cannons, mount them on row boats, get a bunch of veges, row to the middle of a big pond and go at it!
