iam makeing a supersmall hybrid like spudinator and i was wondering how do you caculate the mix? it is 6 CI very small, and the pipe is rated and 400 psi i think or 600psi, is there a formula? casue since it is smaller i dont have to worry about killin my self, i still no that they are very dargures, i have made a combustion cannon, that used a 1X with propane, thanks

Umm...... DON'T make one!!!!!!!! Wait a long time, get very acquainted with both pneumatics and combustions, (at LEAST 3 of each), then try a hybrid.

Well u need to know everything before start 2 make a hybrid so make sure u understand it completely and if u are asking questions about how to do things..then dont try and make one u will end up hurt,even with a small sized one they have alot of stored and potential energy being released that is very dangerous.

Smaller doesn't mean anything, people can die from a paper clip compared to a butcher knife. Explosions cause things to move very fast. Force=Mass X Acceleration. Pressure = Force/Area. More speed + smaller pieces = more penetration.

You can make a coke bottle hybrid and ignite it from a safe distance.It is very easy to make.

i have made 4 air cannons and 5 combustion, 3 were pen shooters and the other 3 were sch40 with a ABS liner inside of the chamber so i could use thingslike carb cleaner etc, o and i no how to put PVC together casue i help my dad and i do plum,bing work, so i no to useall the sch. i have been designing a med size 1 since January and sinc this 1 is smaller it is less comucated. i no how to build one and set it up, the metering system in this one is about 1 1/2" long and 1/8 wide, what i was thinking was that u fill the pipe up shut off the propane and then open the ball vavle and let the propane in to the gun, but how do you no how much compressed air to put in?

When I fire with my hybrid I stand well protected by a piese of powersupply box and safety glases.To fire I put the fuel(acetone or lighter fluid or butane), turn on the spark and open the valve for the compresed air.The gun don't fire until the ratio is good enough.

How well does it work for ya?

It have much stronger recoil the an ordinary combustion.I think that this is the cheapest hybrid ever.But the bottle was filed with mix of boiling wather and solt to reduse it's volume.

Yes, I know that, but the thing i wanted to know was how to you know how much propane to put it to it?

put as much as you want,but if it fires on 1 short spray,put three sprays in and then add the compressed air and it chould go off at around 3xor 2.5x mix,its great i love how it works i wunna make 1.

ok, in a normal, non hybrid combustion you want a 4% propane atmosphere. in a hybrid, a 2x mix, you inject 8% propane into the atmosphere of your cannon. to make up for the extra propane and to maintain a 4% mix, you pressurize the cannon to about 14 psi, which is held back by a burst disk. another way to do it is like rambo does it. make a very rich fuel mix, turn on a continuous spark, and just add pressure until it fires, my opinion is that the first method is better because you know exactly when it will go off. but whatever works for you, works for you good luck with your hybrid (omg he wished him luck!?!?!?!) and remember if you didnt know everything i just told you i would not reccomend building a hybrid yet, and if you do decide to build, and die, i would like to come to your funeral.

When I shoted with the hybrid pistol for the first time I weared 2 layers of glases.For swimming and for ski.And puted a big monkey to protect the monitor because it is like a plastic.

Ok, for now i think i will use hairspray in it till i figure this out. My cannon is 6 CI, is there a formula to put in 8%? The meatering device on the is a 1/8 1" long nipple with a shrader vavle on one end and a vavle on the other, so Iam guessing you fill that up and then inject the 14 PSI of air? And if and when I do make this, i have a 20 foot remote so i can be in my garage and have it in my backyard so ill be safe. thanks
