I got some free time now...so for those of you who don't have a lathe, I could machine some pistons for y'all. Just supply the material(or cost of the material) and maybe a few bucks for my time would be nice, but I'm not doing this to make money.

The fastest way(all parts local), is to build the PVC coupling piston.

$3for the coupling
$6 for the bolt, nut, spacer and washers.
$2 for the neoprene
$1 for oring

$12 plus a little for my time ;)

BTW, I can make it without the seam in the middle, this was a prototype.

I can also do solid HDPE if you want, but it will be more expensive upfront. It's $20/ft on Mcmaster. One foot should yield 3 pieces.

May be interested if you are interested in making a piston for the 3 inch QDV piston from solid HDPE. I'll need to get the pipe first and polished to get a final OD for it and the trigger rod for the ID and nut for the recess dimensions. You didn't spec the size for the price, but I'm assuming a 2 inch OD on the one shown. I'm sure the 3 inch would be much more.
