Pipe ID Calculator

Several years ago I created this Excel spreadsheet to generate the ID (inside diameter) of different types of pipe.

It started as just PVC pipe but has been added to include others.

If interested just PM me.

It is complete for PVC pipe including wall tolerance and OD tolerance.
It is in Imperial dimensions, in a decimal format.

It seems awkward to use at first, but is easier to use with more practice.

You basically look up the diameter, wall thickness, diameter tolerance, wall tolerance and enter these into the yellow cells.

The output shows worst case conditions and typical conditions.

It has the capability of comparing three sizes at once.

If some one with more software experience than me, might be able to simplify the "input method".

Post any suggestions or improvements after trying it out!

My only suggestion would be to put it into a visual basic format, if you want you can pm me the no.s and formulas and I can try and do that for you.

Thanks john;

I sent an Excel 97-03 format to you.

If you need another format, let me know.

I will send it to you and it will make much more sense than your chart.

Your chart is great except there are no tolerances.

Have to include manufacturing tolerances don't we?
