Help with Propane

Well guys...I've decided that I'm going to put together a simple metered-propane combustion gun while I wait for the school officials to give me the all-clear on the hybrid im working on.
Anyways, my dad is having a little difficulty accepting the idea of me using propane when i could be safer and use compressed air in my pnuematics...
So, what I'm asking all you to do is to reply to this post with your personal experiences with a propane combustion, specifically the level of saftey associated with it.
Also, if anyone could dig up/write up a simple spreadsheet or something describing the level of saftey of a combustion vs a pnuematic, that would be awesome.
Thanks in advance, guys

The safety comparison between combustions and pneumatics is simple.
Pneumatics are generally used at 100 psi.
Combustions usually only create 60 psi max.

Yea, and if you get too much propane in the chamber by not having a metered system. It either doesn't fire, or fires really weak. I personally think propane is one of the safest ways to use a pneumatic, plus it's cleaner, more powerful, and cheap.
Hair spray gums up the chamber, deoderant just smells bad when it's burnt, spray paint.....whatever. Propane,

you may think there is a risk of getting burnt but there isnt the flame is only for a milisecond.
combustion risks.
cleanout cap blowing off
burns
pneumatic risks.
blowing up
firing at any time (diaphram popping, ect.)
cant think of anything else.

Go Propane, They are cheaper, use less parts(in most cases) more fun, and if you can figure it out, it makes you look smart becasue you really are, It is a lot cheaper, It olny burns for a very small time were hairspray can attach its self to the chamber walls and keep buring, trust me on that, dont ask why. If you have a grill you can get the big tank filled for like $8 i think and have TONS of fun and shots, It gets rid of old poataos and food, if you use a burst disk it is a kool water gun, you dont need a air compress so it doesent use electrity, you are oout side and not inside sitting doing nothing, they require more planing and you have to take your time, parents can build it with you so they know how it works and meabey wont be so specitical(spelling) about you useing it. That is all i can think of, lets us know how you make out with it.
