How to make a threaded schrader valve

I know that threaded schrader valves are commonly available, but before i could find one i decided to make one.
Materials
Standard tire fill schrader valve
Male 1/4" quick connect plug
valve core remover
Solder
flux
Razor blade
hacksaw
sandpaper
torch
drill
Procedure
1. Use a razor blade to remove all of the rubber from the schrader valve.( the rubber seems to dull the blade so you might need a few)
2. Chuck the remaining brass part of the schrader valve in a drill, use sandpaper to clean up the end of the valve and reduce the size so it will fit in the male quick connect fitting.
3. Test fit the valve in the fitting. It may be desired to cut off part of the fitting so it is shorter. If so do it with a hack saw.
4. Once the valve fits closely in the fitting apply flux to the valve and the fitting and fit them together.
5. Remove the valve core.
6 Use the torch to solder the valve to the fitting.
7. Allow the the fitting to cool then reinstall the valve core.
