A couple weeks from now I'm giving a presentation on Vera. As part of the presentation I want to have a slide that has some pictures of spud guns so that I can discuss basic concept(s) of operation. Thus, I am asking for:
1) A high resolution photo of a reasonably simple spud gun of each primary type:
- Combustion
- Pneumatic
- Hybrid
2) Permission to use said pic.

Well this is caveman simple... a spring actuated ball valve
It just looks good :glasses1:
Not finished yet tough, the stock still looks like crap after switching to a metal air tank.

Me thinks you misunderstand the word "simple."

So you would like a spray and pray combustion, a ball valve pneumatic and a (metal/PVC) hybrid? Though metal hybrids are far more common, perhaps it is better to go with PVC because they are usually much larger and perhaps better looking.
I can name a few large metal hybrids if you need them though (SpudFarm's, Killjoy's, DYI's, Larda's for example).
Sgort87 has a nice looking PVC hybrid, i'm sure there are more on the Spudtech archives that you might remember.
I think it would be best if you PM'd them rather than waiting for them to contact you.

Here's a picture of the 2" gun I was working on in 2008. It wasn't yet finished when it was stolen, and was thus unposted. There's one taken on a better angle which I can't seem to find right now...
30x oxygen/propane/nitrogen mix, 2" bore and porting, L72, chamber volume of roughly 6 litres. That's a 36" pipe wrench hanging off the barrel.

Permission granted for the QDV cannons. PM me a email address for both the photos and permission form. No charge or royalty requested.
I have photos of both the Marshmallow cannon and T shirt cannon. Originals are shot with a 2MP Cannon camera.
Some larger sample photos can be seen in the fourm on

Thanks folks, I think I've got what I need (which was really nothing more than visuals to explain the concept of a hybrid).
