But IMO, the homemade version looks ALOT better than commercial versions :D I was thinking of making few when i get the lathe

if I”d buy the components ready made where would the fun and self satisfaction be ?? the 3/8 bras fittings didn't cost me more than 10 bucks, and all the other necessary adjustments where made on a lathe. Eveything is done, the mechanism works perfect, no leaks, tested it on approximately 30 bar (430 PSI) compressed air (CO2 is next :P) and 6mm BB”s. Hopefully pics and video next.

PS.
like jakethebeast said .... it looks so much better than the commercial ones.

Very post apocalyptic, I like :)

What is the air source? If you hang a small HPA bottle off the fill port, it will give you a good number of shots and double as a grip!

for now the air source is a 1 litre freon tube (50 bar resistant) that I filled with compressed air using a refrigerator motor (compressor).
in the near future i will connect my gun to a 2 litre co2 tube(wich i have trouble filling because it's to small and it's difficult to fill )

Sweet, can't wait to see this thing work. Does it feed correctly, is the magazine side mounted?

That looks really great, I like it a lot. Looks like you had a similar idea for the trigger, yours looks much more sturdier than mine though.

MRR, what do you fire with that thing ?

I use 6mm rollbearing BB”s and at the base of the of the loader i put a very strong magnet that pulls and keeps the bb in position in the barrel. the loader has a aprox. 10 BB capacity. if i use pvs BB”s (airsoft) I have to load 1 by 1 manualy after each shot.

P.S.
I started a wood mask for the gun, pictures will folow
I got a paintball tank & regulator, so I”ll use Nitrogen for propulsion

Everything that fits the barrel (22mm ID) or smaller with a styrofoam sabot.

You should build a detent to prevent the bb's from falling out.

i had a small rubber cilinder with a 5.95mm hole from a BB toy gun, wich i could use to stop the bb from rolling out, but i lost it and i`m not going to buy another toy for it :P, especialy if i wont use pvc BB`s
