they are electronicly controled water valves (for sprinkler systems). you hook 3 9-volts up to the wires on it and it Opens, allowing water (air) to go out.

theres usualy a couple brands at home depot.

too hook it up you just need to glue 1" male threaded connectors on your PVC barrl and itl screw in

Kick up the grammar a notch. Shift key mostly. Take a second to look around this site and you will be blown away at how many questions are answered. I would also recommend Spud Wiki (link at bottom of home page).

How do I hook it up just regular without modding it. Just use a switch to release the air rather than drilling into it.

**With batteries**

i got a rainbird...i would suggest a watermaster though (and modding will greatly increase the preformance of your gun)

To A-98; I have used Rainbird sprinklers exclusively and have had no problems whatsoever with leakage. Have you epoxied the holes closed after you removed the solenoid? Most every time I've heard this complaint it's because of open holes. Just a thought.

R_C- I looked for the how to electonically activate it and cant find it. If I find it I will edit and post the link. You know that you can browse the forums to! Also dont double post, shortly I will be editing them.

About the brands:
The thing about the rainbirds not having as good performance was proably started by the person who stated PVC doesnt show up in X-rays. Although I have a problem with Rainbirds, not the performance, rather that the area you need tap into on top is thin and sometimes have guide rods(on the ones ive ever bought) Although I dont like the green plastic of Watermaster valves. I guess it can be painted, but with its conturs and curves it makes it harder to get a even paint.

A-98- Capitalize. (with the shift key)

I know that you can hook them up to a switch as this guy has done,
http://www.gogglemarks.net/index.php?ac ... =nerfrifle, i was just wondering where and how to hook the batterys to a switch that can release the air.

*Out of all the forums ive ever been in, ive never been told to fix my grammar on a post. I dont think that its that big of a deal on if i capitalize a letter or not, it still means the same thing. Didnt know i was in English class.* - Just my 2 cents

Edit: the link says that the file is not available, scroll down on the left hand side and under projects, click nerf gun.

R_C- Are you f*cking joking me? I never told you to fix your grammar. Your name isnt A-98 is it? Or are you using multiple accounts? Just to keep you up to date, we are not in english class. Have you noticed when we talk about shooting rotten eggs and type like a chat room, nothing gets accomplished?

It also shows a lack of respect. Even though it has been asked of members to attempt at grammar, they should do out of sheer respect. Im less inclined to help someone that can touch the fricken' shift key. Lets realise that this forum is all about weapons. How else are we to judge your maturity in a text-based enviroment? Sure, we can view content, but we are sometimes detured by a lack of grammar. Guns and stupid people dont mix.
