Can someone give me a bunch of good ideas for pistons?
I know I want my design to have a piston, but I'm just looking for the best way to do it.

I was hoping for 2.5" but then I thought I would go with the spudzooka design which is 1.5", so I'll just take what ever the best design is.

How about an end cap?How much work are you planning to do on the piston?

i made a 1.5 inch piston out of epoxy the other day for my coaxil piston. the gun is drying now so i cant tell you how well it worked yet but i just put a piece of 1.5 inch pvc the lenth i want my piston to be on a sheet of rubber and filled with epoxy. after it dried i cut the mold off, sanded it so it fit in the pipe and bolted on the rubber.

Would that foam that hardens work if you made it in a mold?
My friend's dad broke one of those today while we were there and he held the hole closed and threw it outside, the can was completely encased in a mountain of foam.

I created an endcap piston today from a neoprene washer backed with hotglue disc and bolted to an encap but it slowly leaks into the barrel... any suggestions? The piston is 2'' and uses a 1-1/4'' endcap.

It's called expander foam where I live I believe it is too soft and light, but I have never made a piston.[/code]

Im using a metal can slightly longer then a Pringles can but alot stronger so i might stick a bolt through to hold the rubber on and fill the can with foam

are 3"tees expensive?and i need a 3"bushing into a GB size barrel which may be hard to find.
And last thing do all parts need to be sch40?
