Im new to the forum, Lots of very good articles!!! Does anyone know how to modify a sprinkler valve to have just a push button trigger on it? And get rid of the wiring and batteries! I have seen the valve on spudtech.com, but no articles on what type of trigger is used. Cant wait to get my first gun going!!! Thanks.

Buy a sprinkler valve, Preferrably a Orbit WaterMaster 1" INLINE model # 57100
Aviable from SpudTech.com (Joel)
Also buy pressure rated hose (120psi+)
A Blowgun (air compressor blowgun)
(2) Hose clamps for the size of hose you have
(2) Barbed hose fittings with the barb the size of your hose

I think you can buy a blowgun and take the pushbutton out of it and tread it into the valve, I believe Joel uses something like that, but then he puts a rubber cover over it...
There is a way to take the pushbutton out of a blowgun, but you might need a special kind of blowgun, someone please explain how to do this, because I'm not quite positive...
My crappy Husky's pushbutton comes right out, but I'm not sure how it would thread into the sprinkler.

No, there is an actual button you can get from McMaster.com which Joel uses. I have been tryin to find it all morning with no luck. Dammit!
Edit: Ok I found it thanks to SpudMonster from Spudtech. It's on McMaster.com as part number 62475K11.
It looks like this:
